Training/coaching sessions usually take place between one and three days, and involve interactive learning and lots of practice with relevant projects. Sessions explore how to:

  1. Prepare for results based planning by doing a situation assessment
  2. Build a results logic model
  3. Examine project context and identify risk management strategies
  4. Identify relevant performance indicators – ones that help managers make wise management decisions
  5. Make monitoring and evaluation plans that specify for each indicator a source, information collection strategy and key details about who is to gather this information and when
  6. Prepare results (not activity) focused reports – documents that describe the DIFFERENCE made by the project rather than simply what the project DID.
Where possible, we maintain an on-line coaching service to help participants put into practice what they gained in the working sessions.
