Summative Evaluation of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) Program - for Global Affairs Canada | 2015
Sectors: Agriculture
Countries: Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan
Client: Global Affairs Canada (GAC)
More than 795 million people do not have access to adequate amounts of food due to conflicts, natural disasters, and poverty. The Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFBG) supports international food assistance through its 15 churches, church-based member agencies, and other partners.
PlanNET examined CFBG’s results from 2011 to 2016. Our team used a mixed methods approach to address key questions. The evaluators conducted interviews with CFGB staff and leadership from member agencies, observed 20 partner organizations at work and administered an online survey to all member agencies and a selection of partner organizations. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kenya and Ethiopia were selected for the field study.
